Emma

Since graduating from CSUF and concluding her participation in the BD3-REAP program, Emma started her Ph.D. in Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Although moving across the country and transitioning to graduate-level work has been trying, she is settling in nicely to the program, enjoying her coursework, and learning a wealth of information from her research. Currently, Emma is a Graduate Research Assistant for Dr. Joanna "Asia" Maselko and is working on several projects, including a study on grandparent-grandchild interactions among elders in Sri Lanka, and an upcoming project aiming to assess wearable technology in the generation of a digital phenotype of grandparent verbal and physical activity in Nepal. Emma is looking forward to continuing her work at UNC-CH and is excited for the road that lies ahead.
